If you feel a child or young person needs extra help to get the most from their learning and are unsure what to do, Enquire has lots of practical advice and information about the education and additional support needs system in Scotland.  Enquire will explain how the system may relate to your situation and advise you on possible ways forward.

Parent Zone Education Scotland’s site to help parents, providing information on the Curriculum for Excellence, exams, resources for parents and information on schools

Your local council website This will have information about school holidays, school contact details, information about Additional Support for learning (including English as an Additional Language).

Your school website the majority of schools will have their own website, providing information on uniform, school hours, policies, the school handbook and how to get in touch with the parent council.

Bookbug This is a project developed by the Scottish Book Trust to help children develop their literacy skills, there are events across Scotland in local libraries and free packs for children.

Glow This is the online community for Scottish schools, it requires a special log-in and will vary from area to area how this is used. Glow can be used at home and in school for children to complete homework, activities and communicate with their teacher.
